One Day At A Time

While we’re living in such busy times it’s easy to lose sight of what’s important and what we value.  Advances in technology have taught us the joy of instant gratification and we want everything now.

In some cases good things come to those who wait.  The Dalai Lama said “live one day at a time and make it a masterpiece”.

When it comes to health and wellbeing we’re all looking for the fastest way to get results, and why wouldn’t you?  Isn’t that what the weight loss industry has been teaching us for all these years?  There’s an abundance of quick fixes in the marketplace with something new being advertised almost weekly.  Yet Australia’s levels of overweight, obesity and disease are at an all time high.

There’s something seriously wrong and the general population are paying the price for hype and marketing.  There are no quick fixes.  However, you can have instant gratification when it comes to losing weight and improving your health and wellbeing and that will come from the satisfaction of making a decision to improve your situation.  It takes knowledge, planning, action and consistency.  Add in a great coach or mentor for guidance and accountability and you’ve got a winning combination.

Rome wasn’t built in a day.  Take it one day at a time and you’ll eventually create your masterpiece.
